Privacy Policy

This policy covers anran.li and Cleo, the SMS assistant reachable at (848) 600-6009. Both are operated by Anran Li, an individual, who can be reached at hello@anran.li.
Mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your mobile number and your consent to be texted are never sold, rented, traded, or given to anyone for their own marketing. They are used to run the Cleo service you opted into and nothing else.
What is collected
- SMS opt-in. When you sign up at anran.li/sms or by texting START to (848) 600-6009, the mobile number you give, the time you consented, and a record of the disclosures shown to you are stored.
- Message content. The texts you send Cleo and the replies it sends back, so the conversation makes sense and so support questions can be answered.
- Contact form. If you write in through the site, the name, email address, and message you type.
- Visit data. Aggregate page-view counts and coarse country-level location, with no cookies and no cross-site tracking.
How it is used
To send the messages you asked for, to reply when you write, to keep a record of consent and opt-outs as carriers and the TCPA require, and to keep the site working. Not for advertising, not for profiling, and not for sale.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies, up to about 10 messages per month. Conversational replies are sent only in response to a message you send. Message and data rates may apply. Cleo itself is free; your mobile carrier may still charge you for the messages.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message from Cleo to stop all messages. You will receive a single confirmation and then nothing further. Reply START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also email hello@anran.li to be removed.
Service providers
Two vendors process data on the way through: Twilio, which carries the text messages, and Cloudflare, which hosts the site. They act on instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.
Retention
Consent and opt-out records are kept for at least four years, which is the window in which carriers and regulators may ask to see them. Message content is kept only as long as it is useful for the conversation and for support. Everything else is deleted when it stops being needed.
Your choices
Email hello@anran.li to ask what is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Opt-out records are the one exception: they are kept so that a STOP stays honoured.
Children
Neither the site nor Cleo is directed at children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to how mobile information is handled will be sent to subscribers by text before they take effect.
