The only remaining artifact of this project is this picture. The fragile balance between the super-magnets can be easily disturbed, causing the birds and flowers to clump together with the slightest movement. A slight breeze in the room causes the birds and flowers to dance precariously between a mirror (bottom) and an acrylic panel (top).
This is a final sketch of the components of each bird and flower pair. The magnets and paper were carefully selected to create a maximum distance between the bird and flower. In the final calculation, I didn't factor in the weight of the paper, tape, and string, leading to a smaller space between the birds and flowers.
